New Project
Tools menu, Device Emulator Manager
Right click device then "Connect"
Under File menu, select "Configure"
On General Tab, Enter Shared Folder Path
On Network Tab, Check to enable NE2000 PCMCIA Network Adapter and Bind To: "Connected network card"
Enter/ Click OK
Ensure you have installed "Virtual PC 2007"
downloadable from "http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=04d26402-3199-48a3-afa2-2dc0b40a73b6&DisplayLang=en"
Use same procedure but goto "Connection Settings"
Select "Allow connection to one of the following"
Select "DMA" from the dropdown menu
Click OK
Microsoft ActiveSync window opens
Under file menu select "Connection Settings"
It will display not connected
Go back to the Device Emulator Manager
Right click your device then select "Cradle"
Your active device should now connect
You can now explore at the active device window and view the contents
Now all you need to do is install a third party software AGMRuntime.cab (Map Data Runtime)
You need to drag and drop the installer on the active sync window which you had just explored then access it via your active device manager
Go back to your windows mobile device, then click on "Program" then "File Explorer"
Install the AGMRuntime.cab by double-clicking it
You are now ready to start happy coding.
